Privacy Policy
DwellDirect (testition.tech) — aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Last updated 11 July 2026.
What we collect
- Account data: your mobile number (account identity), name, and email address (used to deliver login codes and notifications).
- KYC data: government ID type and number, collected only from property owners before a listing goes live, used solely for identity verification.
- Listing data: property details, photos and videos you upload.
- Activity data: saved properties, contact unlocks, messages, visit requests and payments — used to run the marketplace features you invoke.
- Usage analytics: we record product events (searches, property views, paywall prompts) first-party on our own servers to improve the service. No third-party trackers or advertising pixels are used.
- Location (optional): if you allow it, your device location is used momentarily to pick your city or to sort properties by distance. It is processed in the request and never stored — only the city name you end up with is saved, as a preference on your own device.
Why we collect it (purpose limitation)
- To operate the marketplace: connecting tenants and owners directly, without brokers.
- To verify listings and prevent fraud (KYC, admin moderation).
- To process contact-plan and boost payments and maintain invoices.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Storage & security
- Data is stored in our PostgreSQL database in India-serving infrastructure, protected by encrypted (HTTPS) transport.
- Login codes are stored only as cryptographic hashes and expire within 10 minutes.
- Owner phone numbers are masked from other users until a deliberate, quota-limited unlock.
- Daily automated backups are kept for 14 days, then deleted.
Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)
- Access: see the data we hold about you — your profile, listings, payments and activity are visible in your account.
- Correction: update your name and email from your profile; listing content from your dashboard.
- Erasure: delete your account below. Your profile is anonymised immediately; financial records are retained only as required by law.
- Grievance: write to privacy@testition.tech — we respond within 30 days.
Consent
- By creating an account you consent to this policy; we record the time of consent with your account.
- You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
